Happy Monday!!
Today, we focus on an urgent and sobering topic: The Tribulation. Let’s delve straight into God’s Word to understand what the Tribulation is and why it should matter to everyone on Earth.
What is the Tribulation?
The Tribulation, as described in biblical prophecy, particularly in the book of Revelation, is seven years of unparalleled turmoil, catastrophe, and divine judgment. This time is marked by war, famine, natural disasters, cosmic disturbances, and the unveiling of God’s wrath upon a sinful world. It is not merely a period of suffering but is, in fact, divinely orchestrated as a last call for humanity to repent and turn to God.
Scripture presents a vivid picture of this in Revelation 6-18. The breaking of the seven seals, the sounding of the seven trumpets, and the pouring out of the seven bowls all portray a period of intensifying calamities. Revelation 16:1 captures the essence: “Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, ‘Go and pour out the bowls of the wrath of God on the earth.'”
Why Pre-Tribulation Matters
The concept of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture, which posits that true believers in Jesus Christ will be taken out of the world before this period begins, should be deeply considered. The Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 1:10, “and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.” This rescue, I believe, is the Pre-Tribulation Rapture. For God’s redemption, the Tribulation is a period we should be prepared to escape by God’s grace.
Why It Should Matter to Everyone
You might wonder, “If believers will escape this period, why should it matter to everyone?” The answer is unsettling but straightforward. The Tribulation will be a worldwide event affecting every nation, tribe, and tongue. If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, the harsh reality is that you will be here to experience it. And it will be, as Jesus said in Matthew 24:21, “a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will.”
Furthermore, the Tribulation serves as a preview, a foretaste if you will, of the eternal judgment that awaits those who reject God’s offer of salvation through Jesus Christ. Revelation 20:15 makes it clear: “If anyone’s name was not found written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.”
Final Words
Dear friends, the Tribulation is not a subject for speculative debate but an urgent reality presented in God’s infallible Word. The question that remains is this: Are you prepared? If you have not received the saving grace offered through Jesus Christ alone, now is the time. Acts 16:31 says, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.”
The hourglass of God’s patience is running low. It’s time to face the coming Tribulation’s reality and secure your eternity in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
May God give you wisdom and urgency to understand the times and to act accordingly.
